Katie Rigg-Smith
Katie has over 26 years’ experience working strategically with some of the biggest brands, services and governments both locally and globally.
Katie started Say Robots after identifying an opportunity in the market for strategic foresight that is anchored in a deep understanding of how people interact with emerging technology and what that will mean for the way they engage with brands, businesses and governments going forward.
Katie excels in interrogating the data signals, unpacking the relevant trends and adding strategic foresight to the task at hand. This results in compelling insight and recommendations into what needs to be prioritised today to prepare for tomorrow.
Katie is well known on the speaking circuit having spent her career speaking at events that range from 1,000 plus people to intimate groups of 30.
Prior to founding Say Robots Katie was the CEO at Mindshare Australia and New Zealand, one of WPP’s media agencies. It was a position Katie held for nearly a decade before she stepped up into the role as Chief Strategy Officer across the WPP holding group.
A role that involved strategic oversight across a range of the largest local, global and government clients within the group.
During her tenure Katie also lectured at the University of Technology in Sydney within the Faculty of Business.
Katie has been recognised globally for her strategic thinking through numerous awards over the past 26 years. Katie was also listed in B&T’s Women in Media power list for 13 consecutive years.
